Wijn: Jean-Louis Chave - Hermitage 1988×Wis filters
Eerste neus is een beetje vuil, daarna komen duidelijk Hermitage aroma's naar boven (rond stevig noordelijke Rhône syrah fruit), en daarna wordt het onmiskenbaar een Chave, met de gebruikelijke complexiteit. De mond is daarentegen een beetje mager, maar opnieuw in smaakprofiel een perfect voorbeeld van een gerijpte Chave.
Nice colour, younger-looking than the previous one - cherry hue. The nose is pretty closed but intense; after a while it opens up more - more modern in style, with lovely dark fruit. The 'attaque' of the taste is fuller, but overall the mouthfeel is not strong enough. Better complexity than the previous wines though. Not very long aftertaste. Overall the best wine of this flight so far, slightly rounder and good structure. Keeps improving in the glass.
